Howard and Rudd been and gone! Intervention policy remains. Gillard and Abbott don’t mention it. It’s three years now and have the isolationist tactics benefitted the Aboriginal? Marginalisation, using the same “protectionist” paradigms under a different working title, has only proven to further isolate Aboriginals from the rest of the nation. Non-Aboriginals believe (possibly quite sincerely) that Aboriginals are totally incapable of making their decisions. Darwin lives and thrives in the hearts of mainstream non-Aboriginal Australia, and the Howard (Rudd approved) “Intervention” policy won’t go away until all non-Aboriginals in this country face the truth behind the many fictions around Aboriginal society, their lifestyle and their intelligence.

I am so happy that the REDNECK known as John Howard is finally out of office, the whole time he was in office he and his government have done nothing but make things harder for Aboriginal people to enjoy thier traditional practices, customs & beliefs.
You might say no to that, but my personal opinion is that in order for Aboriginal people to get justice and harmony but also equal rights as human beings in our own country it requires communication and consultation with Aboriginal communities right around Australia.
