Australia has had 29 Prime Ministers, 22 of whom have died.

George Reid was the first PM to die, in 1918. The most recent deaths were John Gorton in 2002, Gough Whitlam in 2014 and Malcolm Fraser in 2015.

Currently, all 7 prime ministers (4 Labor, 3 Liberal) since March 11, 1983 are still living: Hawke, Keating, Howard, Rudd, Gillard, Abbott, Turnbull.
