Of the 43 general elections, 32 (74%) were held in the second half of the year, and 25 (58%) were held in October-December.
December is the single most popular month for elections with 12 (28%). Three elections have been held on December 10.
Elections in the first half of the year have been held on 11 occasions (26%). Of these, 5 were held in March, the fourth most popular month after December, November and October.
No elections have ever been held in January, February or June. Only one election has been held in July.
