September 11 Coverage To Be Archived By Library Of Congress

This website's coverage of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, is to be archived by the United States Library of Congress.
In an email received today, the Library says:
On behalf of the United States Library of Congress, the Internet
Archive will be harvesting content from your website for inclusion in
the Library's September 11 historic Internet collection.
This collection
is a pilot project of the Library in connection with its mandate from
Congress to collect and preserve ephemeral digital materials for this
and future generations.
The Library wishes to make the collection
available to offsite researchers by hosting the collection on the
Library's public access website.
The Library hopes that you share its
vision of preserving Web materials about September 11 and permitting
researchers from across the world to access them.
australianpolitics.com is already archived on a regular basis by the National Library of Australia. This first occurred when the Library archived the 1998 Election coverage.
