The ‘Old’ Site

What’s Happening to the Site?

australianpolitics.com is being migrated to a new format.

The move to a WordPress blog format will provide improved search capacity and more flexibility for ongoing publishing.

Will I still have access to the old site?

Yes!  Links are provided to all the “old” content.  Just choose your topic from the menu at the top of the page – THE OLD SITE – or choose a link below and you will be taken to a text version of every section of the old site.

How long will the transfer of the site take?

It’s hard to say, but I hope no more than a couple of months.

There are approximately 3500 pages on the site, dating back to 1996.  Each of these pages has to be manually transferred to the database.  It’s not a difficult job but it is a tediously time-consuming one.

As these pages are transferred to the new system, the links provided here will be deleted.
