Victorian Labor Minister Lynne Kosky Resigns

This is the resignation statement from Victorian Labor government Transport Minister Lynne Kosky.

Kosky"Kosky has been the member for Altona since 1996.

She has been a minister since the Bracks government took office in October 1999. She began as Minister for Post Compulsory Education, Training and Employment before also taking on the Finance portfolio.

In 2002, she became Minister for Education and Training. Since 2006, she has been Minister for Public Transport and Minister for the Arts.

Kosky cited family health issues as her reason for resigning.

Premier John Brumby paid tribute to Kosky’s contribution to the ALP and the government.
