Prime Minister Julia Gillard has announced more measures to assist victims of the disastrous Queensland floods.
The Prime Minister said hundreds of millions of dollars will flow to flood victims.
“All in all, with Commonwealth government assistance flowing, it will be in the order of many hundreds of millions of dollars.”
Amongst the measures announced by the Prime Minister are grants of up to $25,000 for small businesses.
A $1000 will be made available to every adult with immediate needs.
The announcement comes as the town of Rockhampton braces for the flood peak this week.
