Federal Election 2013 – Statistics Paper

The Parliamentary Library has published a research paper containing a comprehensive set of statistics on the 2013 federal election.

The paper, by Stephen Barber, from the Statistics and Mapping Section, is published here under the terms of its Creative Commons licence.

The paper provides comprehensive statistical tables for the 2013 federal election, including the half-Senate re-election in Western Australia held last April. It contains national, state and regional summaries, electoral division details, two-party-preferred figures, and party strengths in the respective houses of the Parliament. There are appendices with figures for every House and Senate election since 1901, the classifications of each seat, and summary results for the voided half-Senate election in Western Australia.
