Federal Election Pendulum Following The 2004 Election

The election pendulum ranks the 150 electorates in the House of Representatives won by each party on a two-party-preferred basis.

The electorate of Kennedy, held by the independent Bob Katter, has been placed in the coalition column. Katter originally won Kennedy for the National Party in 1993.

The electorate of Calare, held by the independent Peter Andren, has been placed in the ALP column on the basis that it is a non-government seat. [Read more…]

This is the Federal Election pendulum leading into the 1998 election.

It was published by the Sunday Herald Sun on August 30, the day Prime Minister John Howard announced the election would be on October 3.

Federal Election Pendulum – 1991

This is the federal election pendulum, based on the results of the 1990 federal election.

It was published in September 1991, two months after Paul Keating resigned as Treasurer and unsuccessfully challenged Bob Hawke’s leadership. Keating would go on to defeat Hawke in December 1991 and lead Labor to victory at the March 1993 election. [Read more…]
