The issue of whether people choose public or private should be made in the secure knowledge that both offer equally good education options. Shifts of resources from public to private schools when there are already deficiencies in funding the public system are not in the interests of choices. The public systems have made major efforts to look at gender issues and to offer education to all; they need support for those children in the system, many of whom have fewer home based resources.
