Senator George McGovern’s 1972 Presidential Nomination Acceptance Speech

Senator George McGovern accepted the Democratic Party’s nomination for President at its National Convention in Miami Beach, Florida.

McGovern’s nomination came just weeks after the June 17 break-in at the Watergate complex. McGovern went on to lose in a landslide to President Richard Nixon.

McGovern died on October 21, 2012, aged 90. [Read more…]
